The X-Net 8 has an inexplicably complicated switch setting. In this article I do my best to explain it.
The possible addresses are in the range 2.39.2.4 to 2.39.2.250. Each address setting occupies 2 address slots. So, for example, Sw1 = 1, Sw2 = 3, Sw3 = 0 corresponds to 2.39.2.4 to 2.39.2.5.
It is important to note that the address change does not take affect until the X-Net interface is powered off and on.
The address range below is that of the least significant IP address field.
Address range | Sw1 | Sw2 | Sw3 | |
4 thru 23 | 1 | 3 | 0 thru 9 | |
24 thru 43 | 1 | 4 | 0 thru 9 | |
44 thru 63 | 1 | 5 | 0 thru 9 | |
64 thru 83 | 1 | 6 | 0 thru 9 | |
