You can add the UPD Output system command to a cue to send strings to a specific target IP.
Registry Settings
The UPD ports are defined in the Windows Registry.
- From the Run window enter ‘regedit’ and click Run. The registry editor will open.
- Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USERSOFTWAREShowCADArtist3
- Right-click in the right-hand pane and select New/DWORD
- Name it ‘Count’ and set the value to 1
- Right-click in the right-hand pane and select New/DWORD
- Name it Port0 (that’s Port) and set the value to the IP port you wish to send on.
Adding the System Command
- Right-click the Cue, Scene or Step you want to send the command from.
- Select ‘Add System Command’
- Select ‘UDP Output’ and click Next
- Enter the IP address of the Target device
- Enter the text required to send on the port defined in the registry
